Schleicher's
new standard class glider,
the ASW 28, is now flying in Germany. The prototype
has gotten rave reviews from pilots who have flown it.
Everyone is smiling at the factory. Wonderful rumors
have been heard. The 28 recently flew as "guest
of course" in a regional contest in Germany. Though
competing unofficially the glider would have aparently
won two days and placed highly in the rest. The pilot
flying the 28 in this contest is now reportedly wanting
his own model in the worst way and the competing pilots
are reported to now fear and respect the 28's potential.
